Terms of use

These terms apply to the use of advokatx.rs, including the legal portal under /pravo, the calculators and the contact form. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. The Serbian version of this page is the governing one.

The use of the AdvokatX application by law firms is governed by a separate contract with each firm, not by these terms.

Who runs the site

The site is run by Nikola Arsić PR Grafičko dizajniranje NA DOTCOM Smoljinac (short name: Nikola Arsić PR NA DOTCOM) ("we"). The service provider's details are at the bottom of this page.

AdvokatX is a software company, not a law firm. We do not practise law, give legal advice or represent anyone.

What the site contains

• information about the AdvokatX software for law firms,
• a legal portal with general texts about Serbian law, summaries of statutes, contract templates and cost estimates,
• calculators (procedural deadlines, attorney fee tariff, limitation periods),
• a contact form for questions about the software or for a request to be put in touch with a lawyer.

Using the site is free and needs no registration.

Disclaimer

Informational content, not legal advice. The texts, templates, examples and calculator results on this site are for general information. They are not legal advice, do not take the circumstances of your case into account and cannot replace a conversation with a lawyer. For a decision in a specific matter, consult a licensed lawyer.

No attorney-client relationship. Reading the site, using a calculator, downloading a template or sending a message through the contact form does not create an attorney-client relationship, either with us or with the lawyer the message is forwarded to.

Accuracy and currency. The legal texts on the portal are prepared by our editorial team from the laws in force and the official sources listed on each page, and reviewed by a licensed lawyer. Even so, we cannot promise that every text is complete, free of errors and up to date with the latest change in legislation or case law. Laws change, and the outcome of a specific case depends on its facts and evidence. The date of the last change is shown on every page. The authoritative text of a law is the one published in the "Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia".

Calculators. Calculator results are an estimate based on what you enter and on the rules built into the calculator. The deadline or amount in a specific case may differ, for example because a period was interrupted or suspended, special rules apply or a court interprets the law differently. Before relying on a deadline or an amount, check it with a lawyer or against the law in force.

Templates. The contract templates are general examples. They need to be adapted to the specific relationship before use, and it is advisable to have a lawyer review them.

Limitation of liability. We are not liable for loss arising from a decision or omission based on the site's content or a calculator result, or for the site being temporarily unavailable. This limitation does not apply to loss we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and it does not limit the rights a consumer has by law.

Forwarding enquiries to a lawyer

If you choose in the contact form that you need a lawyer, we forward your message to an independent lawyer with an active licence with whom we cooperate. The lawyer contacts you directly. Whether and on what terms the lawyer takes your case, and the lawyer's fee, you agree solely with the lawyer.

• We are not a party to your relationship with the lawyer and are not liable for the lawyer's work, advice or the outcome of the case.
• The lawyer works independently and is subject to the Serbian Advocacy Act and the rules of the legal profession.
• We cannot promise that the lawyer will take the case or contact you within a particular time.
• We charge no fee for forwarding your message.

How we process the data in your message is described in the Privacy policy.

Rules of use

You may not use the site in a way that disrupts or endangers it, or to send unlawful, abusive or unsolicited content through the contact form. Automated collection of content on a scale that burdens the site is not allowed.

Copyright

The texts, templates, calculators, design and other content of the site are protected by copyright. You may read, print and use them for your own needs, and adapt the templates for your own use. Copying, publishing or commercially using a substantial part of the content without our written consent is not allowed. Short quotations with the source and a link are allowed.

The texts of laws and other regulations, and court decisions, are not protected by copyright (Article 6 of the Serbian Copyright and Related Rights Act) and may be used freely. Our explanations and summaries of those regulations are our own copyrighted content.

You may not use the AdvokatX name or mark in a way that suggests we are connected with you or endorse your product or service.

Links to other sites

The site links to sites run by others, for example official publications of laws, courts and public authorities. We do not run those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or data processing.

Governing law and competent court

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia. Disputes fall under the competent court in Belgrade, unless consumer protection law or another mandatory rule designates a different court.

Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The changed terms apply from their publication on this page. The date of the last change is shown at the bottom of the page.
